Narrative description of Project: : The main purpose of this assignment was to identify and assess climatic and disaster risk with profiling along with the preparation and updating of LDCRP for Krishnapur municipality of Kanchanpur District.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment: The following services were provided:
- Conducted Participatory Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (CVCA) for all wards in presence of representatives from palika and communities including sharing of the results with respective wards and municipal representatives.
- Prepared climate risk and hazard maps through GIS mapping.
- Prepared/updated LDCRP through review of CVCA findings, risk profiling, data analysis and other secondary information.
- Coordinated with municipal level elected representatives and officials along with SAKSHAM project team in acceptance of the plan, approval and its implementation
