Narrative description of Project: : The main objective of the program was to protect and maintain the agarwood plantation sites and demo-plots and to carry out annual measurements
Description of actual services provided in the assignment: The following services were provided:
- Prepared an inception report outlining the detailed approach, methodology, location, and plan,
- Presented the inception report in DoFSC;
- Prepared a draft inception report and submitted and shared it to DoFSC,
- Finalized the inception report incorporating the feedback received in inception sharing meeting, and submitted the final one to the DoFSC,
- Performed 15% sampling for the measurement of height and diameter of agarwood saplings in plantation areas,
- Performed enumeration of poles (diameter and height), trees (diameter and height), saplings (count) and seedlings (count) in the demo plots and presented the findings of each variable against last year's data,
- Wherever required. reinstalled RCC pillars, fence with mess wire, installed gate and information boards to the demo plot as well as plantation site,
- Updated the progress of assignment on a regular basis to the DoFSC and discussed any challenges that appeared,
- Provided audio and video recordings, maps and photos of the activities to the DoFSC,
- Prepared a final report including details of activities performed and lessons learned and submit it to DoFSC.
