Narrative description of Project: The main objective of this assignment was to organize climate sensitization events at municipal and community levels and prepare a five-year LAPA
Description of actual services provided in the assignment: The following services were provided:
- Conducted orientation program on NAPA, LAPA framework and Climate Change issues for the Rural Municipality's elected members.
- Collected relevant secondary information and data
- Collected climate change related information and data from direct field visit
- Conducted community level consultations at different settlements
- Conducted Climate Change Vulnerability Risk Assessment (VRA) of the rural municipality
- Prepared comparative GIS maps based on the climate variables, hazards and results of the VRA
- Collected and analysed meteorological data of the area
- Drafted the LAPA document and submitted to the client and office of the rural municipality
- Organized the validation workshop at rural municipality level and presented the draft LAPA
- Finalized the LAPA after soliciting and incorporating the feedback and comments received from the client, rural municipality and in validation workshop
