Documentation of Agarwood in Nepal

Narrative description of Project: The main objective of the study was to identify and document agarwood plantation areas in Nepal with focus in Province 1 and Lumbini Province
Description of actual services provided in the assignment: The following services were provided:
- Prepared an inception report outlining the detailed approach, methodology, location, and plan,
- Presented the inception report in DoFSC in collaboration with KAFAL,
- Prepared a draft inception report and shared it to DoFSC,
- Finalized the inception report incorporating the feedback received in inception sharing meeting,
- Identified the agarwood planted areas in Nepal with focus in Province 1 and Lumbini Province
- Collected and documented the information of agarwood growers (government and private) in Nepal
- Collected the site-wise information on plantation year, area, planted number of seedlings, tentative number of existing trees/poles/seedlings, average height, average diameter, and volume.
- Visited local levels and consulted with the concerned authorities
- Prepared GIS maps of agarwood available areas in Nepal
- Updated the progress of assignment on a regular basis to the DoFSC and discussed any challenges that appeared,
- Provided audio and video recordings, maps and photos of the activities to the DoFSC,
- Prepared a final report including details of activities performed and lessons learned and submit it to DoFSC.
