Narrative description of Project: : The main objective of the assignment was to identify the existing and potential sites for private forestry development and promotion, and form private forestry groups and networks
Description of actual services provided in the assignment: The following services were provided:
- Formed a network of small-scale landowners, which includes the private forestry groups in each river systems, to get benefited from the support of government and non-government agencies on their woodlots and plantation sites for sustainable economic and environmental benefits.
- Reached out to smallholder farmers for establishing woodlots and plantations in the privately owned land contributing to both forest-based mitigation and adaptation not only through direct economic benefits to the owners but reducing pressures on the public forest land that supports enhance carbon stock and reducing emissions.
