Narrative description of Project: The main objective of the project was to develop multi-institutional Integrated Watershed Management program planning, implementation and coordination framework for Halesi Tuwachung municipality, and Rawabesi and Aiselukharka rural municipalities that will guide program planning / implementation through a harmonized and coherent mechanism.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment: The following services were provided:
- Analyzed the contemporary provisions on program planning, implementation arrangement, coordination mechanism, pertinent to Integrated Watershed Management available at the selected local levels;
- Formulated the programmatic and implementation arrangement of activities that will address climate responsive Integrated Watershed Management by involving all concerned authorities, stakeholders, communities, and related organization so as to ensure the due process of policy formulation;
- Developed multi-institutional Integrated Watershed Management program coordination platform at Individual local level watershed level, if necessary,
- Analyzed and suggest Gender, Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI), marginalized, disadvantaged groups, ethnic groups and deprived communities' sensitiveness, and strengthening mechanisms in program management, and coordination;
- Developed Monitoring and Evaluation systems to track the provisions of Integrated Watershed Management directives/procedures,
- Shared/disseminated the report among concerned institution, officials, and stakeholders.
